Hyphae returns on the 25th of February for its third edition, featuring a unique and diverse selection of excellent upcoming and established musicians performing live through livestreamed sessions from the US, Slovenia, Brazil, Slovakia, Scotland, England, Portugal, Germany and the Netherlands. Physical Hyphae III events will take place in The Hague, Berlin, Glasgow, Lisbon, Reykjavik, Gothenburg, Brussels and maybe even more cities to follow. And as always, if you’re not nearby one of these cities, tune in online!

Mux Mool [US] 
Mux Mool (Brian Lindgren) has always been an outsider, growing up in one small Minnesotan town after another, the only distractions from the banality of farm life he faced were video games, drugs, and creative expression. Mux Mool’s music connects to a certain outlook on life - basically, that the pre-established trajectory for adult life is being completely reimagined. His just released second album Planet High School is best (if not entirely) described as fluid, subsuming instrumental hip-hop with some of the familiar, manic, video game-esque stutter Mux Mool is known for. -
Pazes [BR] 
With Milton Nascimento, Arthur Verocai and Eumir Deodato as his predecessors, Pazes (Lucas Febraro) stands on the shoulders of giants. His first digital release, out last year on Exponential Records, draws on the lilting cadences of his home country: Pazes and spaces built on shimmering electronic beatscapes, with bossa-inspired vocals floating over top. Born in São Paulo and having lived in just about every corner of Brazil, he eventually settled right in the middle of the country and South America itself. Living in the faded architectural utopia of Brasília, no wonder there’s a certain melancholic modernism to these beats. -
Ben Butler & Mousepad [GB] 
Ben Butler & Mousepad is Joe Howe from Glasgow. He has produced weird, complex, fun, synth-led music under a bunch of aliases. Live, he will joined by Bastian Hagedorn (Gtuk, Berlin) on drums. Recent times have seen BB&MP tour the US with Deerhoof, release their first album on London's LOAF and a 7" on Oslo's DODPOP label, rocking festivals and clubs throughout Europe and remixing Black Devil Disco Club, Fulgeance, Klaxons and The Chap amongst others. For the Hyphae compilation he contributed a track of his upcoming second album. He will also be organizing a Hyphae III event in Glasgow together with Gravy Waves. -
Oknai [SL] 
Oknai(Janko Mandic) is an innovative electronic artist from Slovenia who got his reputation from his ‘clip-chop’ Ableton Live sets. Last year the rx:tx label released his first EP Ain't a Dream, featuring raw, lo-fi drums, though its rough edges tend to get smoothed over by the wealth of detail, sampled and otherwise, that is worked into the tracks' dense arrangements. -
Alphabets Heaven [UK] 
Alphabets Heaven is Jonny Wildey, a Brighton based musician. With a focus on sub-pressure and home recordings, he has been seen supporting Baths, Onra and Toro Y Moi on recent UK dates. His sonic signature has been found throughout releases with Nightmare's on Wax's wax:on imprint and recent labels King Deluxe and Carbon Logic. His unparalleled MPC-based live performances attempt to turn mixing itself into a dynamic musical instrument, resulting in sliced up melodic, organic, psychedelic and soulful beats with a raw 90s flavour. The self-released cassette tape 'Rosewater', showcasing Jonny Wildey's more psychotropic side, was released in January 2012. -
Steindór Kristinsson [NL] 
Steindór Kristinsson is best known for his work as Einoma, together with Bjarni Gunnarsson. In 2011 he released his first solo EP and album on Shipwrec. Steindór’s mysterious sounds, dark scapes, advanced beat programming (E.O.G. style) and oriental tantraïstic moods will take you straight into unknown territories.
There will be visuals projected during the performance of Steindór by Tiago Morgado. Tiago Morgado is a violist, improviser, composer and programmer, who works with visuals.He focus on paradigms such as live-electronic music, real-time sound processing, real-time visuals, real-time sound spatialization, and stage installations such as lightning systems. -
IVVVO [PT] 
IVVVO is a one of the many aliases and the main solo project of Ivo Pacheco, producer and co-founder of Terrain Ahead Records. After three EPs and two singles the musician goes on digging, still hiding hours of unreleased music in his archive, personal and intimate tracks that come out naturally in late nights, in a room somewhere in the surroundings of Porto in Portugal. Before his next EP called “falls in the lava”, coming out on an unrevealed label from Austria, IVVVO will release Forests, an unsigned single coming out in three parts. -
Jimmy Pé [SK] 
Jimmy Pé - previously Jimmy Pe(e) – runs the independent netlabel Gergaz together with GLGN. Gergaz offers first-rate electronic music from Eastern Europe and other regions for free. Also releasing on his own label and debuting with a few solo EP’s few years ago, Jimmy Pé tends to make very broody beats on the border between dark and euphoric electronics. -
Moon Wheel [DE] 
Moon Wheel is the Swedish-born, Australian ex-inhabitant, Berlin-resident Olle, whose music is a spaced-out, trippy venture into moog-smoked tribal preserves of the dark side of the moon. Somewhere between Moon Dog and Creedence Clearwater Revival he lets his spaceship land. If he is not doing so, you find him making art.
